Principal's Message

Welcome to Taylor County Primary Center!  I am glad you are interested in learning more about our school.  I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Melissa Long and feel blessed to serve as principal of our P-2 school.  We are located in the central region of the state of Kentucky.  Our city, Campbellsville, is an up-and-coming small town. 

At TCPC, we serve 650 of the best students in the state.  We are proud to be housed in a new building with state of the art technology.  Our focus is to serve the whole child.  We offer diversity in the way we deliver instruction, tailoring instruction to the needs of the individual.   Students have the benefit of receiving instruction on their academic level with differentiation embedded in all activities.  Students have options and choice in how they learn.  We offer self-paced pathways and project-based learning with a mix of traditional methodologies.

Our campus is unique in the fact that students can move fluidly throughout the primary, intermediate, and middle schools.  Students are never held back at TCPC.  Students may bump up to a higher grade level if data shows their skill set is ready for the next level of learning.   I encourage you to stop by if you are ever in the area.  I would love the opportunity to show you around our campus and discuss the various aspects of how we structure our day.
